Is it possible to travel to Florida right now?

21/05/2021

If you enjoy warm-weather holidays, you've probably considered and then reconsidered a trip to Florida.

Perhaps you've seen photos of masked amusement park guests and bare-faced spring breakers. Alternatively, you may have learned about the state's loose laws and the concerning COVID-19. is it safe to travel to Florida now? To know, keep reading!

What's It Like to Visit Florida Right Now?

One of the most popular questions we get is: is it ok to travel to Florida now?

The response is straightforward: yes, but you must exercise caution. Here are some suggestions for keeping healthy when visiting Florida.

Always have a hand sanitizer spray on you. If you don't have access to soap or water, apply a few drops of sanitizer to your hands and wrists and rub it in.

You can now visit Florida safely if you're vaccinated and vigilant.

Mandatory masks and more at Disney World

Indoors and out, masks are necessary. You should take them out to eat or take photographs. Mickey can show you the turnstiles if you violate the rules. On the day we visited Epcot, we saw someone being escorted out of the park. This is a dangerous situation.

The four Disney theme parks in Orlando are around 35 percent complete. Due to social distancing requirements, they seem much more crowded than they are. The lines follow a six-foot law, making them seem much longer than they are. They do, however, travel easily. Guests who prepare ahead will be rewarded with a pandemic Disney experience. To enter the theme parks, you must make a reservation. At Hollywood Studios, some common rides, such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, require reservations.

Since Disneyland in California has been closed due to the outbreak, Orlando is pretty much your only choice for a Disney fix in the United States.

Go for a launch on the Space Coast!

On Florida's east coast, things are a little different. It almost seemed like the pandemic was over in Cocoa Beach, just south of the Kennedy Space Center. Within some companies, masks are still needed, but out on the pier and on the beach, it feels like 2019.

The Kennedy Space Center is gearing up for one of the most exciting periods in the history of space travel since the 1960s. On the Space Coast, daily rocket launches are a way of life.

The Space Coast is a good place to visit if you want to see what it's like to live in Florida right now. It's hard to leave here without feeling like the pandemic has been abandoned on the runway or launchpad.

Sarasota is a quieter side of Florida.

Sarasota, on Florida's quieter west coast, is another choice. Even at the normally busy Mote Marine Lab & Aquarium, there were fewer visitors here than in Orlando or Cocoa Beach. It is, without a doubt, one of the area's most popular attractions. Mote, like other Florida tourism businesses, has reduced tourist numbers during the pandemic and uses a timed admission system to help preserve social distance. However, compared to the last time we went, it made the aquarium seem almost deserted.

Should I quarantine after traveling to Florida?

If no signs occur during the 14-day observation cycle, isolation (quarantine) can be stopped without testing after Day 10 according to CDC guidelines. The CDC requires you to come out of isolation after Day 7 if you are tested on Day 5 or later and screen negative, and no signs occur within the 14-day surveillance period.

Many countries have adopted stringent screening protocols that deny ships port entry privileges and prohibit passengers from disembarking in order to delay the spread of COVID-19.
